PriceSentry — Privacy Policy

PriceSentry ("the app", "we") helps Shopify merchants monitor competitor product prices. This policy explains what we store, why, and how we handle it.

What we collect

• Your store's myshopify.com domain and the Shopify session/access tokens needed to run the app.
• The product names and competitor product URLs you choose to track.
• The prices, stock status, and timestamps we read from those competitor URLs.
• The alert email address you provide.
• Your subscription plan status (managed by Shopify Billing).

What we do NOT collect

• We do not access, store, or process your customers' personal data.
• We do not read your orders, customer lists, or storefront data.

How we use it

• To check the competitor URLs you add and detect price changes.
• To email you alerts when prices change.
• To run billing and enforce plan limits.

Third parties

• ScraperAPI — to reliably fetch the public competitor pages you track.
• Resend — to send your alert emails.
• Fly.io — to host the application and its database.
• Shopify — authentication and billing.

We share only the minimum each provider needs, and we do not sell your data.

Data retention and deletion

We keep your data while the app is installed. When you uninstall the app, or via Shopify's shop/redact request, we delete your store's data. Because we store no customer personal data, customers/data_request and customers/redact requests have no customer data to return or delete.
